Hexagram Statement
' Inner Sincerity (Zhong Fu) is the name of the hexagram. Sincerity issuing from within is called Inner Sincerity. Fish are creatures hidden and secluded. Piglets are animals lowly and humble.
When a ruler inwardly possesses genuine sincerity, then even the most obscure and hidden creatures will all be reached by that sincerity.
' 'It is beneficial to cross a great river; beneficial to be correct': if even the obscure and hidden obtain good fortune, how much more so what is prominent and conspicuous. Since one possesses genuine sincerity, its light covers all things, and all things find what is fitting.
Crossing difficulties with this — where would one not succeed? ' Sincerity without correctness is the way of misfortune and depravity, therefore the benefit lies in correctness.
