Salary Encountering Clash and Disruption
祿逢沖破
假如身、命宮逢祿存，或三合有祿，却遭忌星沖破，反爲凶兆。如限步到祿位，凶星同聚。
If the Fate or Body Palace encounters Lucun, or the Three Harmonies contain salary, yet it is clashed and disrupted by the Obstruction Star: it becomes an omen of misfortune instead. When the Limit period reaches the salary position with inauspicious stars converging: disaster.
Zuofu-Youbi Flanking the Emperor: Supreme Grade
輔弼夾帝為上品
假如紫微得天相、昌、曲、府、梁、同助之，紫微得夾爲君臣慶會，受制才學經邦。命紫微與貪狼同垣，桃花犯主爲至淫。
If Ziwei receives assistance from Tianxiang, Wenqhang, Wenqu, Tianfu, Tianliang, and Tiantong, and Ziwei is flanked: this is the 'Sovereign and Ministers Joyful Assembly,' wielding governance talent that manages the state. When Ziwei shares a palace with Tanlang: the Peach Blossom offends the sovereign — extreme licentiousness.
Sovereign and Ministers Joyful Assembly
君臣慶會
紫微得天相、昌、曲、府、梁、同助之，紫微得夾爲君臣慶會。才學經邦，則不必拘此論也。
When Ziwei receives assistance from Tianxiang, Wenqhang, Wenqu, Tianfu, Tianliang, and Tiantong in flanking position: this is the 'Sovereign and Ministers Joyful Assembly.' The talent to govern the state — one need not be constrained by ordinary theories.
Horse Head Bearing a Sword: Guarding the Frontier
馬頭帶劍鎮邊僵
假如午宮安命，鎖邊僵道。只宜邊僵道。
If the Fate Palace is in Wu with Qingyang: suited only for frontier garrison duty. This is the 'Horse Head Bearing a Sword' — one who guards the borderlands.
Punishment and Imprisonment Flanking the Seal
刑囚夾印
假如身、命有天相，却被羊、貞夾之，主人遭官非受刑伏，終身不能發達。
If the Fate or Body Palace has Tianxiang (the Seal), but it is flanked by Qingyang (Ram) and Lianzhen: the person will suffer legal troubles and punishment, unable to prosper for their entire life.
Taiyang in Wu: Sun Brilliant at Mid-Heaven
太陽居午日麗中天
假如身命坐午宮，與太陽同值，有專權之位，敵國之富。
If the Fate or Body Palace sits in Wu, sharing with Taiyang: one holds a position of exclusive authority, with wealth rivaling entire nations.
Taiyin in Zi: Moon in Its Mansion
太陰居子
假如身命坐於子宮遇值太陰，丙、丁年生人主富貴全美，忠謀之材。庚、辛日生者富貴全美，女人逢之旺夫益子。
If the Fate or Body Palace sits in Zi encountering Taiyin: Bing and Ding year births achieve complete wealth and nobility — loyal strategists. Geng and Xin day births achieve complete wealth and nobility. Women who encounter this benefit their husbands and children.

太微賦歌訣
斗數至玄至微，理旨難明。星分布十二垣，數定乎三十六位。廟旺為奇，須明其生剋之分。蔭朝垣，仁慈之長。弼夾帝爲上品，桃花犯主爲至淫。日月夾財，不權則富。七殺臨身，專依羊鉞之虛。善蔭居於空位，天竺生涯；輔弼單臨，爲僧爲道。
The Doushu system is most profound and subtle — its principles are difficult to fathom. Stars are distributed across twelve palaces; fate is determined by thirty-six positions. Temple and Flourishing dignity are remarkable; one must understand the distinctions of generation and overcoming. The Yin-Blessing approaching the palace signifies a benevolent leader. Youbi flanking the Emperor is supreme grade; the Peach Blossom offending the sovereign means extreme licentiousness. Sun and Moon flanking wealth: if not authority, then riches. Qisha approaching the body: depending entirely on the emptiness of Ram and Tianyue. Benevolent Blessing residing in the Void position: a life in the Buddhist monastery. Zuofu or Youbi presiding alone: becoming a monk or Daoist.
