曾門經曰：三合者，五行長生沐浴冠帶臨官帝旺衰病死墓絕胎養十二宫中取其長生帝旺墓庫為三合也。寅午戌三合火局，亥卯未三合木局，申子辰三合水局，巳酉丑三合金局。
The Zengmen Jing states: Three Harmonies take the Birth (changsheng), Emperor Prosperous (diwang), and Tomb/Storehouse (muku) positions from the twelve-palace cycle of Five Elements -- these three form the Triple Harmony. Yin-Wu-Xu form the Fire Bureau; Hai-Mao-Wei form the Wood Bureau; Shen-Zi-Chen form the Water Bureau; Si-You-Chou form the Metal Bureau.
Monthly Application of Three Harmonies
三合月用法
三合日者，與月建三合之日也。寅月三合在午戌，卯月三合在亥未，辰月三合在申子，餘倣此。三合之日百事吉利。
Three Harmony Days are days that form a Triple Harmony with the monthly branch. In the Yin month, Three Harmony days are Wu and Xu; in Mao month, Hai and Wei; in Chen month, Shen and Zi -- the rest follows this pattern. Three Harmony days are auspicious for all matters.
