耳高於眉者主聰明貴。輪廓分明者主福祿。厚大者主富。貼腦者主財聚不散。垂珠厚者主壽。色潤者主康。有毫毛者主壽。輪飛廓反者主貧。耳薄者主虛。無垂珠者主缺福。尖小者主賤。色黑暗者主病凶。
Ears higher than the eyebrows indicate intelligence and nobility. Clear distinction between helix (lun) and antihelix (guo) indicates fortune and salary. Thick and large ears indicate wealth. Ears close to the head (tie nao) indicate wealth that gathers without dispersing. A thick, fleshy lobe (hanging pearl, chuizhu) indicates longevity. Lustrous color indicates health. Fine hairs in the ear indicate longevity. Helix flying out with reversed antihelix indicates poverty. Thin ears indicate insubstantiality. No earlobe indicates lacking fortune. Small and pointed ears indicate low status. Dark or dull color indicates illness and misfortune.
