When there is gathering, there is free passage.

When gathering obtains a great person, then there is free passage and it is beneficial and correct.
When the Way of gathering is complete, using great sacrificial animals brings good fortune. When the Way of gathering is not complete, yet one uses great sacrificial animals, the spirits will not bestow blessings.
The Correct Meaning states: Cui is the name of the hexagram; it also means gathering and assembling, carrying the sense of collecting together. It can summon the people and gather things, causing things to return and gather around oneself, hence the name Cui. "Heng" means free passage.
If there is obstruction and no free passage, there is no way to achieve gathering. "

"It is Beneficial to see the great person; Success; Beneficial for Correctness": When there is gathering without a leader, if things do not scatter then they fall into disorder.
Only a person of great virtue can broaden the correct Way, and then there is constant free passage and benefit in correctness. "
"Using great sacrificial animals brings good fortune": When the great person is the leader, the Way of gathering is complete. With this, using great sacrificial animals causes the spirits to descend with blessings. Hence it says "using great sacrificial animals brings good fortune."
